It’s been a hectic month for us. The Diamond Dust Party DJ Team has travelled quite a wide area of South Wales this season. There have been significant and small parties, from works do to Children’s Christmas Parties. They  include two nights at the Liberty Stadium and Mumbles Pier.

Here are the children’s Christmas parties:

• A splendid gig at the Dunraven Arms, Cwmgwrach, Neath
• A highly decorated function room at Croeserw Social Club, Cymmer, Port Talbot
• A Syrian Refugee Christmas party at the Salvation Hall, Risca
• A lively Christmas Eve children’s party at Cwmavon RFC, near Port Talbot

Our Party DJ team had a variety of birthday parties, including two surprise ones. We were DJs at a 40^th birthday at Celtic Lodge, Neath and 60^th birthday at Coed Y Mwstwr Golf Club, Bridgend. The children’s birthday parties were a 4^th at Arch Hall, Pontardawe and an 8^th at Bryncoch RFC.

We even had a wedding party at Maes Manor in Blackwood.

It’s been a mixed bag of gigs this month for our Party DJ team.

We have had two teenage discos.  One in Cardiff Harlequins Rugby Club. The other in the New Lodge Independent Club in Gorseinon, Near Swansea.  Both discos included UV lighting and a laser simulator.

This time we had a shared 40^th and 70th birthday party disco at Cwmllynfell Millennium Centre. We were DJs at a 40th Birthday at Loughor Boating Club. Ethan and I did a 60^th birthday and retirement party at Mumbles Cricket Club. 

We had our first Christmas Party at Marriott’s Swansea, Christmas Party, which also had an achievement award for children in care.

The children’s entertainment side of our events was really busy. We attended a Village Christmas party at Longford Memorial Hall The show included Mascot the Robot and parachute games. Father Christmas visited and gave out presents to the children.

We had a very successful 4^th birthday party at Tonna RFC. The audience enjoyed the magic show.

DJ Kelly Jack Roberts and Children’s Entertainer, Martin Thompson had a few children’s birthday parties. They had 10-year-old birthday party at Caehopkin Scout Hall, Abercrave, and a boy’s 10th birthday party in at Skewen Memorial Hall. Kelly and Martin did a combined 4th and 60th Birthday Party in at Dunvant Workingmen’s Club in Swansea.

September had a mixture of bookings for our Party DJ team. The Annual National Tetrathlon Ball at Chepstow was the highlight of this month at the Chepstow Racecourse. We don’t normally travel this far on a disco but it was well worth it. Great venue and lively audience.

We did a birthday party at the Heronston Hotel, Bridgend, and a Wedding Disco at the Dockers Club in Swansea. We ran a teenage disco for a 14^th Birthday Party at Ystalfera RFC, Swansea. Diamond Dust has also attended a 40th birthday party at Trebanos RFC and a Wedding Disco at Burry Port RFC.

We had two visits to New Minerton Caravan Park in Tenby. One was an Annual Golf Presentation night, and the other was a return visit as Children’s Entertainers in the Tenby venue. DJ Diamond Dust had a Team Building Function at Ford’s Club in Swansea.

It’s been a hectic month for children’s entertainment. We had bookings in a variety of locations in South Wales. Ethan and I worked at Riverside Holiday Park in Swansea and the New Minerton Holiday Park in Tenby.

 We had a family party night at Brownhills Caravan Park near Llandysul. Then a children’s show at the Jubilee Club in Pontardawe.

We entertained at a Christening Party at The Halfway Pub in Swansea. It was a fun day outside at The Black Boy Pub in Swansea.

We travelled to Carmarthen this month to DJ at a birthday party in the Johnstown area. We have worked as a Party DJ in Tenby. Done a few weddings in Swansea. Also a few football presentations in the Swansea and Neath area.

June has been primarily birthday discos. We’ve had a joint 30^th and 50^th birthday Party at Carmarthen Athletic Club. Even a 30^th birthday party at Mumbles Cricket Club.

We have had a wedding disco in Swansea Yacht and Sub Aqua Club and the Village Hotel.

There have been two Football presentations:

• An under 7’s and 8’s at Bonymaen RFC
• Under 11’s for Coedffranc  Football Club at Neath Leisure Centre

The regular summer season children’s entertainment and family disco at New Minerton Holiday Park.

I’ve recently bought a new digital SLR camera and joined a local camera. The new camera will improve the quality of pictures on the blogs and have the opportunity to enhance my photographic skills!

It has been a busy May for a Party DJ.

The disco events include:

• 40^th birthday party in Cardiff, at the Discovery Pub
• 50^th birthday party at Uplands RFC, Swansea
• 25^th wedding anniversary at the Welcome Inn, Tonypandy

We have had a few presentation nights, a dance school awards night, at Ystradgynlais Welfare Hall and a rugby presentation night at Birchgrove RFC, Swansea.

There was a christening party disco with a children’s show at Samlet Club, Llansamlet, Swansea.

We have continued with the upgrading with our equipment, both lighting and sound. There are still a few improvements we are in the process of doing.

The robots both Mascot the Robot Dog and our newest robot, our 8-Foot-Robot-Cat, are having work done on them. More work will be done in the next month to complete the improvements.

We are looking forward to the summer, where shows and discos will be from all areas of South Wales!

Tom and I had a great night with a 70^th Birthday Party Disco and backing The Fabulous Voice Tones at the Thomas Arms, Llanelli.

The summer’s arrived. We had a return season yet again to New Minerton Holiday Park in Tenby.

We have provided a Children’s show in Ammanford, a 5-year-old birthday party in Tumble Hall. Ethan was the DJ, and I was the children’s entertainer at a Children’s Valentine’s Disco in Longford Memorial Hall, Skewen. We did a Christening Party in Pontardulais Conservative Club.

Robot Day in Cardiff with Diamond Dust

We have done two robot days in Cardiff schools, which were Ty Gwyn Special School and Woodlands High School. The pupils were enthusiastic and keen. It was a real pleasure to teach and entertain them. The teaching and support staff were very welcoming and helpful. Thanks, guys!

We have just had our Annual PAT testing. We have upgraded some of our lighting system which uses less electricity, which now makes it making it more environmentally friendly.

March has been the month of discos, primarily birthday discos in Swansea. Our Party DJ Team have been busy with two birthday party discos in Gorseinon.

These were a 80^th Birthday Party in the New Lodge Social Club, Gorseinon a 50^th birthday Party at Loughor RFC in Gorseinon. There’s more about the wedding disco in Port Talbot.

The 80^th birthday disco included a vast range of music requests included Ballroom Music as it is sometimes known as Strict Tempo. We also played songs from the Fifties, Sixties, Seventies and Eighties, as well as a few requests from the Charts. 

The 50^th birthday party was quite a contrast. Most of the night, we played music from the 80s with some current hits.

We did a combined 50^th and 30^th birthday party in Upper Killay RFC.  We played a range of the 70s, 80s and some hits from the 00s and 90s.

Our Wedding discos, this month included a Star Wars theme at the Aberavon Beach Hotel, including the wedding cake. Our Wedding DJ services needed at Betws RFC, Ammanford. There was even a white LED dance floor for the guest.

More discos are happening next month. There will be  Children’s Birthday Parties ahead, and our 8-Foot-Robot-Cat will be making more visits after an extensive rebuild. Keep watching our Facebook pages!

This month, Party DJ Diamond Dust had mostly discos in Swansea. We had a 40^th birthday party in Bonymaen RFC, and an 11-year-old birthday party at Tino’s, in Wind Street.

We were wedding DJs at Heathfield Club, Swansea and The Oyster Lounge in Mumbles. Our DJ team did an annual dinner dance at the Halfway Inn, Nantgaredig, Carmarthen.

Tom Hyatt has been the Party DJ at the adult discos.

Ethan Gray has been the DJ at children’s disco and shows.

Martin Thompson has been a DJ and a children’s entertainer in Swansea.

Kelly Jack Roberts has been very supportive in helping to repair the sound and lighting gear.

After the busy Christmas Season and the half-term school holidays, we have a break. We had time to plan and prepare for the year ahead. The work includes maintenance of equipment, setting up for PAT testing and upgrading some of the stuff.

Another month or so and British Summer Time will be with us. I am hoping for some warmer, drier weather, definitely more sunlight!

It is time to start checking out our 8-Foot-Robot-Cat. There has been quite some interest from schools and universities with our robots. I’ve got a link to a recent newsletter. So time to get the KATT ready!
